Privacy policy

Ourövia is a parent-mediated bedtime story app for families. Personalized stories (text, pictures, and narration) are created with artificial intelligence (AI) — not hand-written one-by-one by human authors for each weave. Parents unlock settings with a simple parental gate. There is no chat, no open web browsing inside the story flow, and no advertising SDK.

What we collect

• Account — Firebase Auth (anonymous and/or Google sign-in email/name) for quotas and optional sync.
• Story prompts & AI-generated media — text, pictures, narration via Google AI services and Firebase Storage/Firestore.
• Product analytics — e.g. story started (Firebase Analytics; no Advertising ID).
• Crash logs — Firebase Crashlytics for reliability.
• On-device prefs — age band, narrator voice, onboarding (DataStore); local story library (Room).

We do not use advertising networks, do not sell personal information, and do not collect the Advertising ID (AAID).

Children / COPPA posture

• Designed for families; parents control settings behind a parental gate.
• Story content is AI-generated for the age band a parent chooses.
• No in-app ads; no ad personalization.

AI transparency

We state in onboarding, Parent Zone → About, and this policy that stories are created with AI. Generation runs on Google AI services via our Cloud Functions. Server-side safety filters aim to keep content age-appropriate. We do not use your prompts for advertising.

Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your Ourövia account and associated data:

Uninstalling removes the local library and preferences on the device (Android Auto Backup is disabled). For cloud account records, use the deletion page or in-app Delete account.

Your choices

• Sign out in Parent Zone ends the Google-linked session on this device.
• Contact support@ourovia.app for account-related help.

We may update this policy as the product matures. Material changes will refresh the date above.
